How To Access The University of the Western Cape Prospectus
The prospectus is the best source of information if you want to learn more about the university, your study options, the requirements you need to meet, or campus life.
Step 1: Visit The UWC Prospectus Portal
Instead of accessing uwc.ac.za to get the prospectus, you need to head over to prospectus.uwc.ac.za/prospectus.
Step 2: Read Through The General Info
When visiting the prospectus website, you’ll see five tabs. The General Info tab is an excellent place to start to understand the fundamentals of applying to or attending UWC.
Step 3: Find Information Relevant To Your Study
After learning more about the school and the admission requirements, you can scroll to the top – or very bottom – of the page to filter your search based on faculties. The University of the Western Cape has segmented the information based on the faculty and field of study.
For example, under the Faculty of Law, the university gives you a brief overview of what is offered and the minimum admission requirements.
Important Note: If you are currently in Grade 12 and want to join UWC in 2025, you should visit the Grade 12 portal for prospective students. This portal has the most relevant information for 2025 matriculants wanting to enrol in UWC.

Visit the online student portal by clicking here. Once you’re there, click on “Application Status.” You will then need to enter your ID number, passport, email address, and application number. After entering these details, click “submit,” and you’ll see your application status.
