Mangosuthu University of Technology is a public owned specialist university located in the Durban area of South Africa. The institution, which takes its name from the first name of a one-time chief minister of KwaZulu Natal responsible for its establishment, has existed since 1979. When Does MUT Application Open?
To apply for admission placement into any degree or study programme offered by Mangosuthu University of Technology, interested individuals take the following steps:

- Fill out the application form online
- Upload necessary supporting documents to be attached to the application

Required necessary supporting documents are determined by the applicant’s nationality. South African students applying to study at the institution are mandated to upload the following documents:

South African Students
For South African students, the university recognises four qualifications:

- N qualifications (that is, N4, N5, and N6)

- General requirements stipulate passes in English
- A higher grade subject and at least three other subjects to satisfy the minimum benchmark of five.

When Do MUT applications Open?
Mangosuthu University of Technology’s admission application cycle typically runs from May to November every year. For the current admission year, applications are open until September 30. Second-semester applications for courses in the Faculty of Engineering and Analytical Chemistry closed on May 31, 2024.
When Do MUT Applications Close?
The Mangosuthu University of Technology has various dates for application closure determined by course and programme of study. The general timeline for the closure of applications is on September 30, 2024. This deadline applies to courses in the Faculty of Engineering, Natural Sciences, and Management Sciences.
However, applicants applying for second-semester courses in Analytical Chemistry are expected to have had their applications turned in by 31st May. Applications turned in after September 30th are liable to attract a late application fee charge set by the institution.
