When Does the MUT Application Open?
To apply for admission placement into any degree or study programme offered by Mangosuthu University of Technology, interested individuals take the following steps:

When Do MUT Applications Open?
Mangosuthu University of Technology’s admission application cycle typically runs from May to November every year. For the current admission year, applications are open until September 30. Second-semester applications for courses in the Faculty of Engineering and Analytical Chemistry closed on May 31, 2025.
When Do MUT Applications Close?
The Mangosuthu University of Technology has various application closure dates determined by course and programme of study. The general timeline for the closure of applications is September 30, 2025. This deadline applies to Faculty of Engineering, Natural Sciences, and Management Sciences courses.
However, applicants applying for second-semester courses in Analytical Chemistry are expected to have turned in their applications by 31 May. Applications turned in after September 30th are liable to attract a late application fee charge set by the institution. The university’s late application fee charge is typically set at 400 South African Rand for South African applicants and 500 South African Rand for international applicants.
