How To Track Your North-West University Application Status
Before an applicant will be able to verify their application status, they must have applied.
Now, the necessary documents you will need for the application are;
- A certified copy of ID/ Student Number/ Passport Number
- A personal email address
- Certified copy of Matric certificate/ final results (grade 12)
- Copies of academic records of previous institutions attended must be provided
- Original copy of paid application fee. The amount paid is non-refundable.
- Passport number if the applicant is a foreigner.
A non-refundable amount is paid as an application fee by both South African citizens and foreigners who are prospective students in the North West University (NWU) bank account. A copy of the receipt of the application fee is uploaded together with other required documents before submitting the form.

Step 1: Visit The NWU Website
Go to NWU.ac.za.
Step 2: Go To Application Status
Find “How To Apply” on the navigation tab and then click “Application Status.” You will then be able to verify your status by clicking the prompts within the text on the page.
Step 3: Enter Your Details and Track Your Progress
You will then need to enter your university number and pin to access your NWU application status.
If you forgot your PIN, you can click “Forgotten Pin” and follow the prompts to get a new one.
Step 4: Check What Your Application Status Means
