How to Apply to UNIVEN
Whenever you are ready to apply to Univen, you have the convenience of applying fully online. Keep in mind that a non-refundable application fee of R100 is required upon completion of your application form.
You will need to attach certain documents with your application for undergraduate studies. Since your application will be online, scan all of these documents and attach the copies in PDF format to be sent to a series of designated emails. According to the university’s website, the documents that you will need are the following:
- Your ID or passport
- Your Grade 11 final results stamped with your school’s approval
- Your academic record (only if you are a current student at another post-secondary institution)
- Academic record and certificate of good conduct (if you have already studied at a tertiary institution)
- Copy of study/residence permit/medical insurance /SAQA Evaluation Certificate (if you are an international applicant)
- Proof of payment (R100 application fee) payable on ABSA account no 1000 000 589. As your reference, use your ID number or student number.

Once you have completed and sent in your application, you are finally able to check the status of it online through this link. To do so, you will need to come prepared with your ID number. UNIVEN Requirements
Before you begin your application to Univen, you will need to keep in mind that there are a few requirements that you will need to comply with and be eligible for. There are different requirements for applying for a degree, a diploma, or a certificate to apply as an undergraduate student.
As per the guidelines on the university’s website, if you wish to apply for an undergraduate degree, you will need the following, at minimum, to be considered for application:
- A National Senior Certificate (NSC) as certified by the Council for General and Further Education and Training (Umalusi), with an achievement rating of 4 (adequate achievement, 50-59%) or better in four subjects chosen from the recognized 20-credit NSC subjects
- A minimum point score of 26
- If grade 12 has been achieved, applicants must have a grade 12 certificate with a bachelor or matric exemption.
As for those looking to apply for a diploma, you will need to fulfil the following requirement at a minimum:
- A National Senior Certificate (NSC) as certified by Umalusi with an achievement rating of 3 (moderate achievement, 40-49%) or better in four subjects chosen from the recognized 20-credit NSC subjects
Lastly, students who desire to apply for a certificate must have the following at a minimum:
- A National Senior Certificate (NSC) as certified by Umalusi

UNIVEN Registration
Once you have received your admission letter into Univen, you are finally ready to register online and sign up for classes. To do this, you simply need to log on to MyAccess where you will undergo self-registration.
